Lucky Jack, he never had a problem with it
He’d find a penny, he would pick it up and use it.
Lucky Jack he never walked under ladders
cracks in the pavement were a constant aggravation.
He’s barely hanging on,
But he’s losing his grasp.
He never bit his nails but he’s aching for that rasp.
Jesus hung from nails, but he still can’t figure it out.
How he can’t escape the deal thats always been dealt out.
But now the black cats crossed his path
He knows its wrong, he knows its wrong.
He’s sitting waiting for the crap
That follows on that follows on.
Coming back, I thought I caught a glimmer of him
Standing sheepish by the ancient Zebra crossing.
Traffic gap, came up all of a sudden on him
He thought he’d make it but it wasn’t gonna happen.
